The Proper Canine is proud to offer a variety of training services for dogs at any stage of training. There are several different packages, designed to help your dog progress into a well-mannered canine member of society. Each one can customized to meet your unique needs.
Consultation
This one-hour consultation offers a chance for you to ask questions and me to analyze the situation. I introduce myself to the dog, see the environment where the work will take place and assess the proper approach and reward type needed. The value of this meeting is put toward the booking of your first session or package. (50)
Puppy Package
(4 sessions – 45 minutes each)
In this package we cover potty training, appropriate chewing, introducing walking on leash, coming when called, lying on a mat and sitting. We also cover general questions you may have regarding nutrition, specific problems and preparing for future manners packages. Puppies have shorter attention spans, so these are shorter sessions than are offered in other packages. (180)
Manners Package 1
(6 sessions – 1 hour each)
This is designed for dogs from 4 months and up, and is a good starting point for most pets. We cover relaxing on a mat (a solid down-stay command), sitting, coming when called, walking on a leash and any specific behaviors that you may need help with. (250)
Manners Package 2
(4 sessions- one hour each) For dogs that have passed basic training and wish to work on more advanced behaviors to integrate as a better canine citizen.The overall focus is instilling proper manners and keeping calm despite distractions for a long periods of time. This includes sitting quietly, politely greeting visitors, and other desirable behaviors. When training is complete, dogs on this package are quiet and well behaved regardless of what else is going on around them. (180)
Custom Training Package
Specific Issue Help (session by session- to target specific problems)
Does your dog have a particular behavior you need help with? Is your dog causing you to shake your head or dread going out in public? Is your dog accused of being the park bully? Private sessions focused on specific problems can be arranged. The speed and duration of sessions will be dependent on the issues and the severity of the problems.. (75)
